William Roberts O'Brien - soldier

This William Roberts O'Brien was born in Taralga in 1896. He is the son of George Cashel O'Brien and Margaret Merry. He shares his name with George's brother, William, a teacher in Western Australia.

According to William's military record (http://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/scripts/Imagine.asp) he had fair complexion, hazel eyes and brown hair. At the age of 20 he was 5 ft 5 inches tall and weighed 122 lbs.
