This site represents an ongoing project to digitise and archive the history of Gulgong. It does not claim to have even a fraction of what exists. Researchers will need to consult other resources such as:

FINDING YOUR FAMILY
Finding the history of families dating from the establishment of Gulgong around 1870 can be quite successful using the resources listed above. You can also contact the Research Department at the Gulgong Pioneers Museum. They will search their records for a small fee.
What is not easy to trace, is:
- the history of Wiradjuri families who were displaced from Gulgong and surrounding districts by white settlers; or
- members of the Stolen Generation who were removed from their families in other parts of Australia and fostered by white families under the government's policy of assimilation.
