Two of Thomas O'Brien's children left their home state of New South Wales and moved to Western Australia to live.
The first of these was William Roberts O'Brien who had been a teacher in NSW but relocated to WA around 1896.
Sarah Ellen, who had been living with her father in Peak Hill also moved to Perth after she married Henry Sampson in St Leonards.
