She was married to Sgt Herb Withers on 26 April 1916. Her sister, Nina, was bridesmaid.

This is Herb Withers in 1917. It is a postcard he sent to his niece, Grace. He also sent Grace numerous letters from the front.

Ellen (Grace) died 28 October 1958 and is buried at Macquarie Park Cemetery, Plassey Rd (corner of Delhi Rd). Vaug RC Lwn 6, 0007. She is buried next to her sister, Nina Dibley.
