Margaret Norris nee O'Connell

Margaret Elizabeth O’Connell was born in 1861 in Mudgee/Hargraves to Terence and Margaret O'Connell nee McConnell. (NSW BDM 10011/1861)

In 1887 Margaret O'Connell married William Norris in Mudgee (NSW BDM 5883/1887). 

William Norris worked at various hotels including one at Slashers Flat and Mrs Kelley's Family Hotel in Gulgong, before opening the Commercial Hotel at Cobbora in 1904.

Margaret Norris moved to North Sydney and died in 1954 in Chatswood (NSW BDM 27994/1954). She is buried in Macquarie Park Cemetery, RC C2, 0022.

• Leslie E Norris - born about 1888; married Minnie E Carr in Wellington in 1912 (NSW BDM 11787/1912) Minnie Norris, buried 25 Sep 1946, is in the same plot as Margaret Norris. She was Margaret's daughter-in-law.
