CHARLES MALCHOW

Charles Augustus Malchow (later "Malco") was born about 1887. He was the son of Christina Malchow who died in childbirth in 1893.

Charlie, was adopted and brought up by John Archibald Campbell and Eliza Geoghegan. He lived with their family until after Eliza died. Charles married Alice Fullarton Smith of Brewarrina.

1949 - DEATH OF CHARLES MALCO
The death occurred in the District Hospital last Friday morning of Mr. Charles Malco, of Medley Street. Deceased, who was born at Slapdash, Gugong, 62 years ago, spent a lifetime in the town and district, with the exception of two or three years, and was universally resspected. Although of a rather retiring nature, he endeared himself to all with whom he came in contact.
He is survived by his wife (nee Alice Smith), to whom sincere sympathy is extended. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon to the Presbyterian portion of the Gulgong Cemetery, Rev, E. Smyth officiating.

1950 - DEATH OF CHARLES' WIFE
Mrs. Alice Malco, who was a resident of Gulgong for the past 30 years, was found dead at her home in Medley Street, on Sunday, October 29.
Deceased, who was 55 years of age, was a native of Brewarrina, and was predeceased by her husband, Mr. Charles Malco, some 15 months ago.
