Charles O'Brien
Charles St Clair O'Brien was born at Tallawang on 19 December1898, the fifth child and fourth son of John Michael O'Brien and Julia (nee O'Connell). He attended his father's school in Tallawang.
At the age of 39, Charles married Madeleine Mary Madsen, a hairdresser from Marrickville, on 30 April 1938. (His brother, Eugene had married Madeleine's sister, Doreen, in 1931.)
Charles and Madeleine were married at St Brigid's Church, Marrickville, by Father Casimir Maguire. Charles' siblings, John-Patrick and Kathleen were witnesses.

Later Charles was a bank officer in Marrickville then an accountant at Charters Tower branch of the Commonwealth Bank in 1938.
Charles O'Brien
Charles died at the age of 80 on 20 July 1979 at St George Hospital, Kogarah. His cause of death was cardiovascular accident and hypertension.
Charles is buried at Woronora Memorial Park NSW - Gdn Ct Rose Gdn 6, 0142.
