Sarah Dean was born in Nottinghamshire, England in 1806 to William Dean and Elizabeth Hollingworth.
Sarah married Jesse
Dibley, a convict, in 1841 and had 9 children. She passed away on 24 August 1890.
1890 - DIBLEY — August 24, 1890, at her residence, Meadow Flat, Bathurst,
Sarah, relict of the late Jesse Dibley, in the 70th year of her age, after long
years of suffering, which she bore with Christian fortitude, leaving a large
family to mourn their loss. Greatly beloved by all who knew her.
1891 - DIBLEY. — In fond and loving
remembrance of my dearly beloved mother, Sarah Dibley, relict of the late Jesse
Dibley, who died at her residence, Meadow Flat, Bathurst, August 24, 1890, in
her 70th year. Beloved by all.
She has gone to grave; her troubles are o'er,She's freed from all sorrow and pain,The trials of this earth, which she patiently bore,Will never distress her again.
