Mr Leslie Miller (known as Tos) had the barber shop from at least 1936 to 1947. His wife, Ivy, was a hairdresser and had various enterprises next door including a bulk foods store. The sign for this shop was donated to the Gulgong Pioneers Museum in 2022.

Leslie and Ivy's son, Stan Miller took over the barber shop at 133 Mayne Street and operated from the 1950s to about 1985. Later in life, he married a school teacher named Saxton Cadel. In the 1990s he moved to Mudgee and had a barber shop in  the walkway between Church Street and Byron Place. Stan spent his final years being cared for in Pioneer House, Mudgee and passed away in August 2019.
