1926 - Obituary - MR. WALTER ELLERY
Mr. Walter Ellery passed away in the Gulgong Hospital early on Monday morning last. Deceased, who was 64 years, of age, was a resident of Gulgong for about 18 years, and came out to Australia from England some years previously. The late Mr. Ellery had been in indifferent health for the past six months. He was taken to the hospital on June 5 and was a patient previously. A widow and grown-up family survive to mourn their loss, the members of the family being: Messrs. Tom, Jack, and George, and Misses May and Evelyn. The funeral was held this (Tuesday) afternoon, the Rev. L. V. Caldwell (Church of England) officiating at the graveside. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. S. R. Bayliss. 1927 Obituary - MRS. MARGARET ELLERY
The death of Mrs. Ellery, relict the late Walter Ellery, came as a surprise on Wednesday last. Deceased, who was a native of Gulgong, was a woman of kindly disposition. She has appeared as if in good health on the days preceding her death. The late Mrs. Ellery was 61 years of age. The funeral was conducted by Mr. R. S. Bayliss, Rev. Father M. Noonan (Roman Catholic Church) officiating at the graveside. The following members of her family, to whom our sympathy is extended, are left to mourn their loss: — Jack, Tom and George Ellery, May and Evelyn Ellery. They are all residents of the district.
