Don Mackie did his apprenticeship there in the late 1940s. The then owner Jack Ellis (his brother in law) and Don spent the next 46 years in that shop.
Bert Evans purchased the business from Jack and then Norma Hensley purchased from Bert and Don Mackie managed the shop until Norma’s sons Peter ajd Mick took over when Norma retired in the mid 1990s and Don hung up his knives as well.
The Hensley boys sold to Peter (ROY) Roach.
