TRILBY HILL

Trilby Hill, was named after gold miners from that location saw a performance of George Du Maurier's "Trilby" and were ennamoured with its red-headed heroine. The hill is situated near the junction of Lahey's Creek Rd and the Castlereagh Highway. First the mine was named Trilby, then the hill on which it was located and later the homestead belonging to the Campbell family.
