James Purcell Blanch was a baker at the Times Bakery in the early 1930s. The family lived in Robinson St. Gulgong.

James had a brother (maybe Lou) who had a lot to do with the Local and District Gulgong Rugby League.
James' children (Barry and Norma) attended the local Primary school. His wife was Alice Rita Ethelinda Ross of Leadville. The family moved to Sydney for a period in 1932.
