UNION HOTEL

In 1871, the Union Hotel was situated on Herbert Street Gulgong. However, it was forcibly sold by the Sheriffs Bailiff. Peter McLeod opened the Union Hotel in Home Rule in 1872.

1871 - [FORCED SALE]
Jacob and another v Smith Myers and another v same
December 22, 1871 at the Union Hotel, Herbert Street, the Sheriff will cause the Defendant’s Right Title and Interest in the land on which the above Hotel is erected, to be sold by public auction, being 66 feet to Herbert Street and 165 in depth, unless these Executions are satisfied.

1872 - Dissolution of Partnership

1874 - Auction Sale 
It is notified that Mr. Morris has instruction to sell McLeod’s Union Hotel, consisting of bar, bar parlour, ball-room, skittle alley and all other appurtenances at the Home Rule, immediately after selling the Booths. The house id a capacious one and centrally situated.
