Amongst the forwards who distinguished themselves in the Goolma match were Bede Brennan, G. .Miller, W. Neilson, G. Nelson, and W. Taylor. Les Bibb and A. Sharland in their respective positions are two acquisitions to the club.

Goolma touring football team defeated Gulgong by 11 to 1 in the Victoria Park grounds. Mudgee stores best Gulgong Juniors by 8 to 3 The match was played in pouring rain.
1909 - IMPROVED HEALTH.
Mr. J[ack]. Cox, son of Mr. C[ecil] D. Cox, of Ellerslie, who was a member of the Goolma football team, which made a tour of Coonabarabran, Binnaway, Gilgandra, etc., during this season, and who was injured in a match at Coonabarabran, is now undergoing medical treatment with the X-rays at Gulgong, under D. Quinn, and his condition is greatly improved.
