Robert James CAMPBELL was born 19 April 1866 at Wattle Flat, NSW.

He was married on 09 March 1892 at ‘Annandale' Gulgong to Clara WATT (born: 18 Nov 1869 in Mudgee, d: 06 Feb 1964 in Beecroft, Sydney).

Robert was a long time member of the Salvation Army in Gulgong.

He died 06 Oct 1956 at "Argyll", Gulgong and his funeral was held in the Salvation Army Hall, Gulgong with both SA and Presbyterian clergy taking the service.

Robert James CAMPBELL and Clara WATT had the following children:

i.  ROBERT GEOGHEGAN CAMPBELL was born on 01 Jan 1893 in Gulgong, NSW.  He died on 02 Aug 1974 in Mudgee, NSW.  He married Gladys May GUDGEON, daughter of Henry James Elijah GUDGEON and Maude Mary Caroline BOWIE in 1937 in Gulgong, NSW, (Salvation Army Hall).  She was born on 11 Feb 1906 in Gulgong, NSW.  She died on 03 Dec 2003 in Weston, ACT, Australia.

ii.  MAUD ISABEL CAMPBELL was born on 10 Apr 1895 ’Trilby’, Gulgong, NSW.  She died on 15 Jul 1970 in Neilrex, NSW.  She married Hilton George RIVETT, son of George Henry Rivett and Harriet Field in 1923 in Gulgong, New South Wales.  He was born on 02 Feb 1890 in Bathurst, NSW.  He died on 03 Mar 1968 in Coonabarabran, NSW.

iii.  AGNES JANE CAMPBELL was born on 05 Mar 1897 ’Trilby’, Gulgong, NSW. Gulgong, NSW.  She died on 03 Nov 1972 in Strathfield, NSW.  She married Harold CROOME, son of William Croome and Sarah Jane Dobbe on 03 Dec 1917 at ’Trilby’, Gulgong, NSW.  He was born on 29 May 1896 at Burrendulla, Mudgee, NSW.  He died on 24 Jul 1955 in Concord, NSW.

iv.  LESLIE GORDON CAMPBELL was born on 14 Jan 1900 ’Trilby’, Gulgong, NSW. Gulgong. He died on 31 Aug 1978 in Eastwood, NSW.  He married Daphne Beryl WHALAN, daughter of Ernest Thomas Whalan and Margaret Morrow on 31 Aug 1937 in Narromine, NSW.  She was born in 1905 in Oberon, NSW.  She died on 29 May 1938 in Gulgong, NSW.

v.  EDNA VICTORIA CAMPBELL was born on 22 Jan 1902 ’Trilby’, Gulgong, NSW.  She died on 13 Jun 2001 in Janalli, Sydney.  She married Alfred Jack MUSCIO, son of Silas Muscio and Mabel Edith Aline ISACCS on 18 Jan 1933 in Dural, NSW.  He was born on 02 Jul 1900 in Beenleigh, Queensland.  He died on 29 Jan 1996 in Jannali, NSW.

vi.  ELSIE MARY PILLANS CAMPBELL was born on 19 Mar 1904 ’Trilby’, Gulgong, NSW.  She died on 22 Aug 1996 in Eastwood, NSW.

vii.  JOHN ARCHIBALD CAMPBELL was born on 05 May 1906 ’Trilby’, Gulgong, NSW.  He died on 21 Nov 1996 in NSW Australia.  He married Ada Australia SANSON, daughter of Thomas Sanson and Ethel May Partridge in 1931 in Coonabarabran, NSW, Australia. She was born on 10 May 1907 in Narromine, New South Wales. She died on 10 Sep 1993 in   Strathfield.

viii.  LINDA MARIA CAMPBELL was born on 25 Jun 1911 ’Trilby’, Gulgong, NSW.  She died on 17 Oct 1998 in Eastwood, NSW.  She married Frederick Percy CROOK, son of Frederick William Crook and Ellen May Lummis in 1952 in Gulgong, NSW. He was born on 17 May 1902 in Woolwich, Greater London, Kent, London, United Kingdom. He died on 08 May 1972 in Concord, New South Wales, (Repatriation Hospital).

ix.  MARJORIE CLARA CAMPBELL was born on 16 Jan 1913 ’Trilby’, Gulgong, NSW.  She died on 27 May 2008 in Beecroft, Sydney, NSW.  She married Denis Albert GURNEY, son of Albert Swain Gurney and Agnes Dorothy Gurney on 9th November 1940 in St John's Presbyterian Church, Wahroonga.  He was born on 20 Aug 1911 in Lewisham,London, England.  He was posted missing on 24 Jan 1945 in Coral Sea, New Guinea.

x.  DOUGLAS WALTER CAMPBELL was born on 04 Nov 1915 ’Trilby’, Gulgong, NSW.  He died on 12 Jul 2000 in Gulgong, NSW.  He married HELEN CHRISTINE MCKAY, daughter of George McKay and Elizabeth McCrossin on 03 Apr 1943 in Manly, NSW.  She was born in 1913.  She died on 09 Jan 1996 in Dubbo, NSW.
