Martha Riley's parents were John Riley, a policeman in the Windsor area, and Catherine/Katherine Lattimore/Latimer, a convict.
Martha married:
- Thomas Wright in 1852 in Church of England, Richmond (NSW BDM 1327/1852 V18521327 158 and 411/1852 V1852411 38C)
- James Turner in 1862 in Richmond (NSW BDM 2923/1862)
- Thomas Matthews in 1881 in Dubbo (NSW BDM 3213/1881)
Martha Matthews died in Gulgong in 1917 (NSW BDM 5690/1917) and is buried in the Gulgong cemetery.
1919 - Death at Gulgong.
The death took place in Gulgong on Friday last of Mr. Thomas Matthews, of Tucklan, at the age of 85 years. Deceased was predeceased by his wife, and he is survived by several sons and daughters. The interment took place on Saturday morning last in the Church of England portion of the Gulgong cemetery, the Rev. C. J. Allen officiating at the graveside. Messrs. McGowen and Bayliss were the funeral directors.
