1925 - Wedding Bells BYERS - FIELD.
At Leadville on 5th inst., Mr Ronald Byers, son of late H. and Mrs Byers (Mrs Cohen) of Gularganbone, was married to Miss Violet Field, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. H. Field, of Leadville. The bride was nicely attired in white silk moracain with ribbon trimmings and orange blossoms, wearing the customary wreath and veil, and carried a bouquet of white roses and chrysanthemums and maiden hair and asparagus fern. Miss Marie Byers and Miss Daisy Facer acted as bridesmaids and were daintily dressed in frocks of gold taffeta silk with caps of gold tissue and gold brocade shoes. Little Laura Field and Edna Viles assisted in the above capacity and looked very pretty in frocks and caps of pink crepe de chene. Mr. Herbie Byers was best man, and the brothers of the bride Robert and Norman, were page boys. The Rev. Conran (Church of England) of Coolah, performed the ceremony. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a gold armlet, and the bride's gift to the bridegroom was a pair of heart, and hand clasped sleeve links. The bridesmaids received silver hair slides. Between 60 and 70 guests attended at the home of the bride's parents and were received by Mrs Field, who wore a dress of gray moracain. The honeymoon is being spent at the JenoIan Caves, the bride travelling in a dress of fawn moracain with silk stitching and hat to match. Many valuable presents, also cheques, were received.
