Susan Carr's parents were Bryan Carr and Hannah Donoghue. They were both born in Mill Town, County Clare, Ireland, married in 1857 and moved to Australia.

1901 - "Charlie Wade (pictured above) befriended Jimmy Governor when they worked together and he let him stay on his property at Slapdash for at least two nights while the Governor brothers were on the run. From Jimmy's own account of his moves immediately after the Breelong massacres, he went and told Charlie he had turned to bushranging."

1933 - Mrs Susan Wade
Mrs Susan Wade passed away in Gulgong on Tuesday last. Deceased, who was 73 years of age, was a well-known identity and an almost life-long resident of the district, in which a number of relatives reside. The funeral took place on Wednesday to the R.C. portion of the Gulgong cemetery, Mr R. S. Bayliss carrying out the arrangements. Our sympathy is extended.
