A name that caught my eye with considerable interest told of the early death, at 38, in the flower of manhood, of Alfred Norris. The name of a little daughter also appears on this headstone. Deceased was the father of a large family represented in various parts of the district and their descendants. Alfred Norris, jun., son of the deceased, died a few years ago in the Gulgong district. Mr. Sidney Norris and Mrs. Norris reside at West End, Mudgee, enjoying a well-earned rest.
Mrs. Norris, sen., in time became Mrs. Winter, whose son, Mr. Ernest Winter, resides in a property at Mudgee formerly owned by Mr. Engineer Gormly, near Mr. Heath's home.
